JAMESON WHISKEY

Promoting Jameson Whiskey in a popular off-license on the Irish border, with a large hand painted mural on corrugated tin.

I worked with the team at Jameson to come up with a concept that would fill the semi-circular roof area in a recently renovated off-sales on the Irish border. I had free rein to come up with a design that felt true to the popular whiskey brand and would advertise their product in the venue.
With the surface being a particularly deep corrugated tin, I had to come up with a design that was striking without being too complex.
Using spray paint I integrated the Jameson ‘Wave’ into the background using two colours from green palette. Overlaid on this I hand painted the design using just two colours. A central ‘Jameson’ text is surrounded by traditionally Irish inspired weaving pattern with rays emanating from the Jameson bottle on the left hand side.

The corrugated surface was tough going and I had to take extra care to ensure that none of the design appeared distorted from a distance.
