SPECIES

Original concept and composition based on a loose brief with the title 'Species'.

A hand-painted piece using acrylic and marker onto a blank skate deck. The design drew inspiration from japanese tattoo culture and a millenial interest in the colour pink. I wanted to use a soft, almost feminine colour palette to offset the harsh angular ‘species’ text in the centre and my use of heavy black lines.
