HAZY

A 12ft wide of uncertainty.

Spanning across three 4x6ft boards, I wanted to create a piece that reflected the uncertainty of 20/21. Each board conveys a separate message - 'Yes' / 'No' / 'Reply hazy try again' - but fit together as one large piece. Taking the unpredictability of a Magic 8 ball as my inspiration, I wanted to paint a dynamic and intertwined piece that summed up the feeling of uncertainty and lack of direction that many people have felt over the past year.

Hand painted over the course of a day, this piece was created solely using black acrylic on a white primed plywood canvas.
I created the design digitally on Procreate then transferred it to Photoshop for finishing touches before recreating it across the three boards.
