BREAK FREE EXHIBITION

A poster design exhibited at an exclusive gallery event in covent garden to support the relaunch of tomorrow’s people - a charity providing young people work experience and training opportunities.

The Break Free Project showcased a selection of emerging illustrators’ interpretations on what it meant to be trapped and to break free from those contraints.
My design intended to highlight the pressure that young people place on themselves in a world that is saturated with subliminal messaging telling them to be the best version of themselves. By succumbing to the pressure of career progression, social media, marketing, the media etc. we are struggling to breathe.
The snake charmer represents someone unknowingly charming the snake that suffocates her.
To break free would be as simple as playing a different song.
