Creating a design to celebrate saint patrick’s day in collaboration with noissue.

I worked with Noissue, an eco-friendly printing company to create a design that to work across their site and socials to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.
I wanted to side-step the predictable Irish iconography avoiding an signs of pots of gold and leprechauns in favour of illustrating the traditional tale of Saint Patrick banishing the snakes from the Island of Ireland. I created a repeated pattern showing two hands reaching towards each other, both with a snake intertwined around the arms, this was a subtle nod to the division between the North and South of Ireland.
To accompany the design I created a round sticker with the typography ‘Born Lucky’ - a twist on the well known phrase ‘The luck of the Irish!’
